A couple of years ago I finally took the plunge and started my own blog about mental wellbeing. I was anxious and had been for some years and so I wanted to share everything that had helped me. I also wanted to create something that I thought my seventeen-year-old self would have found useful.

After doing a lot of research I came across mindfulness — something that I had unknowingly been doing myself (even if I didn’t know it had a name). I spent a lot of time observing my thoughts and endulged in mindful activities that made me feel not only calm but that gave me a sense of meaning and grounding. These included writing (all kinds of things) and drawing.

That’s how I came up with the idea of creating my own printable mindfulness activity worksheets for adults and kids. I coudn’t find any online that looked fun or had their own unique illustrations so I merged my passion for creating with my mental wellbeing blogs writing. The result of that was my first draft, a very raw 23-page mindfulness PDF that I put up for a few dollars in my store. It was okay at the time but I wanted to offer something better. So, I decided to create a couple more printable mindfulness worksheets and ended up with 25 pages for quite some time. Recently I extended the worksheets to include 40 illustrated printable mindfulness worksheets with lot of different activites.

I love to create things whether it’s my mindfulness colouring books or helpful planner printables that are arty and fun. These mindfulness worksheets are fun for both adults and kids and lot of people have already found joy out of them. If you’re interested in downloading something a little bit different, here’s what’s included;

  • 40 mindfulness activity sheets
  • activites included breathing techniques, self analysis exercises, colouring and much more
  • they are printable so you can use them over and over or share them with a friend
Examples of some of the activites included!

These mindfulness activity worksheets are full of variety and will keep you entertained and focused for a good while. There are lots of different activites that I had matched with interesting illustrations so children will also find them appealing. You can work through them at your own pace or in a group. All of the worksheets aim to help put you in the present moment, something I think is highly underrated these days.

My first love was always art so I couldn’t make the mindfulness activity worksheets without including some of my colouring pages from one of my colouring page sets!

I believe that mindfulness comes from doing activites that put you in the moment. Mindfulness to me is almost ironic because when you’re being truly mindful, you don’t even know it. You’re so engrained in what you’re doing that your thoughts are only on the present. I feel like this when I’m drawing, as if I’m in a flow state and everyhting else in the world goes away.

It’s kind of like when people say; “I was having so much fun that time dissappeard.” That’s being truly in the moment and you can do activites to practise getting into this state of mind. These mindfulness activity worksheets area fun way to practise mindfulness by noticing sensations and engaging in mindful, present activities.

Printbale mindfulness flashcards.

I enjoyed making these mindfulness printables that I have since gone on to make a flashcards version which is also a lot of fun to print off and cut out. You can find those here.

Not only that but I have also since designed some colouring books with mindfulness in mind. My aim was to create a physical book that could help others to sit down and pay attention to something innocent like colouring because I think creating something is incredibly rewarding. The funny thing is, making these books has also been incredibly rewarding for myself from a minful point of view.

Engaging in creative projects is something that keeps my mind focused whilst at the same time they give me a sense of meaning because I’m doing something that I love. That’s why I wanted to make activity worksheets for mindfulness that you can physically print out and use.
